Description

The bottle head valve assembly on the fire-fighting and life-saving cylinders of ships is the core component of the fixed fire-fighting system, responsible for sealing and pressure maintenance, emergency release, and safety protection.

Type

1. Classified by closed form
• Mechanical sealing type:
The bottle opening is sealed by a mechanical structure, such as a pressure block + valve stem type (UNITOR type) or a spring + valve disc type (NK type).
• Diaphragm-sealed type:
The bottle opening is sealed by a diaphragm, such as the vertical diaphragm rupture type (KAWASAKI type) and the horizontal diaphragm rupture type.

2. Classified by driving mode
• Manual + pneumatic diaphragm type:
It is centered around pneumatic diaphragm actuation, supplemented by manual drive lever for emergency operation.
• Pneumatic piston type:
It is centered around pneumatic piston drive, with manual pressing block as a backup.

3. Classified by opening method
• Manual opening:
Cable-pull type, rotary type, manual bottle-by-bottle opening, etc.
• Pneumatic opening: Pneumatic piston lever type, pneumatic piston cable type, pneumatic membrane rupture type, etc.

Material Compatibility with Corrosion Resistance

Main material:
316 stainless steel
Scene value: Resistant to marine high salt spray and high humidity corrosion, not prone to rusting after long-term use, suitable for wet and corrosive environments such as ship decks/engine rooms.

Execution Standard

Conforms to standard:
JIS 2T (General Standard for Marine Equipment).
Scenario value:
It meets the safety and compatibility specifications for ship equipment and can be directly incorporated into the compliant configuration of ship fire fighting/lifesaving systems.

Adaptive Ship System

Compatible objects:
Marine fire extinguishing cylinders (CO₂ fire extinguishing system), marine survival cylinders (emergency breathing apparatus).
Interface specification:
G5/8 (compatible with mainstream marine cylinder interfaces).

Core Parameters

Working pressure:
≥20MPa (meeting the pressure requirements of high-pressure gas cylinders on ships).
Seal leakage rate: ≤1×10⁻⁷ Pa・m³/s (compliant with the high seal safety standards for marine gas circuit systems).

Operational Adaptability

Built-in pressure gauge range:
0-25MPa (compatible with the pressure range of ship's gas cylinders, facilitating daily inspections by crew members).
Operation mode:
Knob-type quick opening and closing (suitable for quick operation needs in emergency situations on ships).

Daily Maintenance and Inspection

Daily inspection (daily for navigation/berthing)
• Visual inspection:
The valve body is free from rust, deformation, and leakage, the handle/drive rod is not stuck, and the safety pin is intact.
• Pressure monitoring: The pressure gauge displays within the normal range, with no zeroing or fluctuations.
• Sealing inspection:
No frosting (characteristic of CO₂ leakage), no air leakage sound, and the connections are secure.

Regular maintenance (monthly/annual)
• Cleaning and maintenance:
Remove oil stains and rust from the valve body, and apply anti-rust grease.

• Function test: Manually operate the starting mechanism to ensure there is no jamming, and the pneumatic pipeline is free from damage or detachment.
• Safety verification:
Safety diaphragms must be verified periodically, and must be replaced if they are expired or damaged.
• Seal replacement:
Aging sealing rings and valve disc seals need to be replaced in a timely manner.

Common fault handling
• Minor leakage:
Tighten the connection or replace the seal.
• Valve core stuck:
Disassemble and clean the valve body. Violent knocking is prohibited.
• Safety diaphragm burst by mistake:
Immediately replace the diaphragm and investigate the cause of overpressure in the cylinder.
