Selector Switch w/ Key for IHI Deck Crane

No.S-8-90-B-1
IHI deck crane key switch is the core control component of the operating system. It is usually integrated into the main control valve circuit and is used to start/stop the motor and switch the operation mode (crane hook/hoist). When the load exceeds 110%, the pressure switch (PS1/PS2) will trigger the safety mechanism and cut off the power supply through the key switch to achieve emergency shutdown.

Description

Characteristic
1. Dual control function
Integrates the main control valve circuit control, and also has the functions of emergency shutdown and mode switching. When the hydraulic system pressure exceeds 110%,
the key switch will be linked with the pressure switch (PS1/PS2) to cut off the power supply.
2. Safety protection design
It adopts an IP65 level waterproof structure, which can withstand low-pressure water jetting. It is particularly suitable for use in damp environments on ships. The lock body
sealing design effectively prevents salt fog corrosion, ensuring long-term stable operation.
3. Operation process integration
In the electrical system of the Craine crane, the key switch can bypass the limit switches (such as D33/L33R) for protection, allowing for forced operation in the event of a fault.
It needs to be combined with the timer (T3) to complete the star-triangle switching control within 3 to 5 seconds.
4. Maintain compatibility
It is recommended to inspect the oxidation of the contacts quarterly, and at the same time, the key components of the hydraulic system should be maintained synchronously:

  • Fuel tank float switch oil level monitoring
  • Clean the return oil filter
  • Brake control valve response test
