Marine Lifeboat Hand Pumps

No.MB1125
The Marine Boat Self-Priming Manual Pump (Model MB1125) is a vital marine spare part designed for emergency use. It operates manually—by moving the handle back and forth to build pressure, which opens the emergency shutdown valve and allows the medium to flow.
This marine pump is essential in emergencies such as fires. When triggered, the pressure relief valve opens, quickly reducing pressure and closing the emergency valve. If the temperature rises above 75°C, the fusible plug—built into the oil pump or valve—melts, enabling automatic pressure relief and fast valve closure.
Widely used in marine boat parts systems, including those by oxysenzir, this pump ensures rapid and reliable emergency response onboard.

Excellent for Distributors
A profitable, high-turnover item for wholesalers of boat parts and supplies.

Working Principle
MB1125 is a manual diaphragm bilge pump. Reciprocating manual operation on the handle drives internal linkage to deform the diaphragm back and forth. One‑way check valves inside pump chamber open & close alternately. On down‑stroke: suction valve opens and liquid fills pump chamber. On return‑stroke: discharge valve opens and liquid is forced out via outlet. Repeated cycles realize liquid suction & discharge. Built‑in self‑priming function enables water lifting up to 2 meters depth.

Application Scenarios
1. Emergency bilge dewatering for lifeboat / rescue boat (SOLAS mandatory fitting)
2. Manual bilge draining for yachts, speedboats, fishing boats
3. Stand‑by dewatering unit when electric pump fails or power blackout occurs
4. Quick removal of minor seawater leakage & accumulated water on deck / compartment
5. Maritime emergency salvage, temporary transfer of fresh water & seawater
6. Emergency drainage for inland waterway small vessels & work boats

Maintenance
1. Flush pump chamber with fresh water after each use, wash away seawater sediment to avoid salt crystal
    jamming.

2. Fully clean & dry pump before long‑term storage. Apply small amount of silicone‑based lubricant on moving
handle joints. **Mineral oil lubrication is forbidden, it will damage plastic diaphragm**.

3. Periodically inspect linkage & fastener screws for looseness; check diaphragm & check‑valve discs for wear or
    cracks.

4. Do NOT pump liquid with large solid particles or corrosive chemicals, to protect valve discs and diaphragm.
5. Store in dry & ventilated area, avoid long‑term direct sunlight which accelerates plastic aging.
6. Perform no‑load stroke test every 6 months to ensure smooth mechanical movement.

Spare Parts
1. Diaphragm
2. Check valve disc & valve seat
3. Full set of sealing gaskets
4. Hinge pin / linkage pin
5. Fastener screw set

Acceptance Standard
1. Document Check: Verify model MB1125, valid CCS certificate, clear nameplate marking and correct IMPA
    330280 mark.

2. Visual Inspection: Pump housing free of crack, deformation or impact damage; handle intact; all fasteners
    complete.

3. Mechanical Operation Test: Stroke handle 50 cycles, no jamming or abnormal noise, linkage runs smoothly.
4. Water Performance Test: Connect suction & discharge hose, submerge suction end. Confirm self‑priming
function, steady water output without obvious leakage.

5. Accessory & Spare‑part Check: Count accessories & wear‑part kit against packing list.
6. Packaging Check: Carton intact with proper moisture‑proof protection.

FAQ

Q:What are the key points for inspecting the MB1125 hand-cranked pump?
A:Visual inspection: Check for any cracks, deformations or damages on the pump body.
Functional test: Whether the crank can be turned flexibly and whether it can suck and drain water normally.
Pipeline inspection: Check whether the suction pipe and the discharge pipe are complete, intact and undamaged.
Sealing inspection: Check whether all connection points are well sealed and there is no air leakage.
Inspection of rubber cups/pistons: Check if the rubber cups are aged or hardened, and if the piston rings are worn.

Fixation status: Whether the installation base is firm and whether the fixing bolts are rusted or loose.

Q: What precautions should be taken when using the MB1125 hand-cranked pump?
A: Pre-use lubrication: Pour a small amount of engine oil into the pump for lubrication, then shake the handle to draw water.

Check the seal: Ensure that all connection points are well sealed to prevent air intake from affecting the water pumping effect.
MB1125 is not suitable for liquids that are corrosive to metals.

Post-use maintenance: Add a small amount of lubricating oil to the pump after use to prevent rust.

Q:  What consequences will result from the failure of MB1125 in the PSC examination?
A:
Damage, lack of pipelines or inability to use the MB1125 hand-cranked pump normally are common defects of lifeboats. If the hand-cranked pump is severely damaged and unable to drain water, it may be determined that the life-saving equipment does not meet the "immediately available" requirement. In severe cases, it may lead to the detention of the vessel.
